Buxhall & District Community Council
Our Aims
“To support recreational facilities, playing fields, playgrounds, community centres and other amenities of a similar character for the benefit of the community residing in Buxhall and the neighbourhood in the interest of social welfare… improving the conditions of life of the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended.”
The Buxhall Community Council is delighted to provide this village website for the benefit of our village.
We hope you find its contents useful and welcome your continued contributions
to keep it ‘up to date’ and your ideas for further improvements.
Community-Based Events
The Buxhall Community Council hosts a varied calendar of events and those celebrating special national events such as The King’s Coronation.
Some of our popular events include:
-
Bangers, Beans and Bingo evenings are held in February and November. Come and join us in a fun filled family night out of cash prize bingo with our excellent bingo caller Keith Proctor. The evening includes a meal of bangers, beans and jacket potatoes.
-
The Buxhall Village Show is held in September. Over 50 classes allow all ages to share their many and varied talents in gardening, baking, preserving, photography and arts and crafts to mention but a few. Once judging has been completed, we then enjoy viewing all the exhibits, afternoon refreshments courtesy of the Buxhall WI, a raffle draw and finally the produce auction with Mim Proctor on the ‘hammer’.
